04 · FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Retrovibe partnering with GOG?

Because we believe great indie games deserve both the right publishing support and the opportunity to reach more players. Retrovibe brings hands-on publishing experience, while GOG brings platform expertise, marketing capabilities and an established PC gaming community. Together, we can offer developers more ways to bring their games to market.

What kinds of games are you looking for?

We’re primarily interested in single-player games with strong gameplay, a clear creative vision and something distinctive to offer. We work across genres and welcome both experienced studios and smaller teams with promising ideas.

Which platforms do you publish on?

Retrovibe publishes across PC storefronts and console platforms. We work with developers to choose the release strategy that makes the most sense for each game.

Do I keep creative control?

Yes. We believe developers know their games best. Our role is to support and strengthen their vision, not replace it.

Do you provide funding?

Yes, depending on the project. We discuss funding individually, taking into account development needs, the scope of publishing support and the game’s commercial potential.

Do I need a playable build?

Not necessarily. We’re happy to look at projects at different stages of development. A strong concept, promising prototype, compelling trailer or previous development experience can all help us understand what you’re building.

Do you handle marketing?

Yes. Retrovibe provides publishing and launch marketing support, with GOG contributing platform expertise, audience insights and promotional opportunities. Depending on the project, this can include PR, creator outreach, social media, events and launch campaigns.

Can you help with console releases?

Yes. Retrovibe supports multiplatform releases, including platform coordination, certification and launch planning.

Can I submit my game just to GOG?

Yes. You don’t need to be looking for a publishing agreement to submit your game for consideration on GOG. If you wish to self-publish on GOG, please check gog.com/submit-your-game.

What happens after I submit my game?

Our team reviews submissions to understand the game, the people behind it and the kind of support they’re looking for. If we see a potential fit, we’ll get in touch to discuss the next steps.

What happens after launch?

Our work doesn’t end on release day. Depending on the publishing agreement, we continue supporting updates, marketing, commercial opportunities and the game’s long-term growth.
